Be Decisive
Monday, September 28th, 2009

A very important element to success is to be firmly decisive, have crystal clear direction. Make an informed decision and stand by that decision regardless of what people say to you.

Often people are unsure of themselves and make a decision without proper consultation or firm facts as a foundation, this leads them to constantly doubt the decision because someone heard ‘this’ and someone else said ‘that’. Before they know it they’ve changed their mind several times and more often than not the decision they started with was the one they should’ve stayed with.

This process is one of the most destructive things you can do to your self confidence. On the road to self improvement and success, self confidence is everything! If you damage your self confidence you will begin to doubt everything you have learnt and quickly revert back to old habits.

If you don’t have the information you need to make a proper decision you are better off to not make a decision at all until you have completed your research, rather than make a hasty decision and then change it constantly.

The time will come where you will have to make a prompt decision and you want to be prepared for that. To make a prompt decision you will need all of the self confidence you can muster.

Therefore, you must consciously look after your self confidence by ensuring that decisions are made with solid information and as many facts as possible. That way you can confidently make a decision and see it through no matter what happens in the mean time.

Bye for now

Are you Performing at your Best?
Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

Katie and I attended a seminar in Brisbane last year where a highly motivated speaker was giving a presentation on maximising your performance.

He singled out a lady in the crowd and asked what she does for a living. She replied she was a real estate agent. When asked if she believed she was performing at her best she said “Yes, of course!”

He then asked how many properties she sold per month and she said between eight and ten depending on the market. He asked if she had children and yes, she had two daughters. The next part of this exchange was confronting but designed to demonstrate a point.

His question to her was “if I abducted one of your two daughters and told you that if you didn’t sell 20 properties this month you would never see them again, could you do it?”

You could plainly see the conviction on her face when she replied “Yes! I would!” to which he replied “but you just told me you were performing at your best and could only sell 10”.

This may seem ridiculous, but the point is that her answer was admission that she could do better if the stakes were higher.

This demonstrates that if you have the desire to raise the stakes of what you want your life to become you can achieve a lot more than you currently do.

As you achieve the goals you set, continue to raise the stakes and there is no limit to what you can achieve.

Bye for now

Attending Seminars
Thursday, September 3rd, 2009

Tim and I have attended quite a few seminars since our journey began on the path of self discovery. Seminars give you an opportunity to continue learning and growing, then as your level of awareness increases you gain a greater understanding of yourself.

You come away from a seminar on a high and it keeps you focusing on what you want; they also give you a chance to network with like minded people and widen your support base. Some of the closest people in our lives are people that we have met at seminars.

You have probably heard the saying “everything in the universe is designed to grow”. Therefore, if it is not growing it is stagnate and dying. Humans are exactly the same, which is why it is so important to continue on the journey of growth and self discovery.

You also never know what celebrities you might meet at seminars, check out the picture below of me and a well known woman, and also a television celebrity.

We might see you at the next seminar.

Here’s to your growth…

Have a great day!

Cheers Katie
